This Museum was opened on October 26, 1966 on the 75th anniversary of the Bank. It collects, preserves and exhibits relics and objects related to the life of this institution and testimonies of Argentine economic history. Among these latter, its numismatic collection dates as far as the colonial period with pieces coined in Lima and Potosí in 1565 and it also includes gold and silver pieces coined in different provinces and copper coins of Buenos Aires, and bank notes starting with the first ones (1820) and stretching to the present ones.
